Tomato Tulips

Tomato tulips

I’m not going to lie to you. If I had to say whether the difficulty level of these tomato tulips was easy, medium or hard, I would say the difficulty level is hard. They were really finicky. It was difficult to get them to look nice without getting little dabs of filling everywhere. It takes a little bit of patience, so if you decide to make them, make sure you leave yourself lots of time.

The effort is definitely worth it, because they turned out to be SO PRETTY! I love tulips! Don’t they look super spring like? They’d be the perfect appetizer for a party! I ate the whole plate for lunch with crackers and they tasted amazing!! Fresh, and sweet and delicious with the whipped feta filling.

I like that tulip tomatoes are a healthy side dish perfect for any spring or summer occasion. Everyone says this food art can be created in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients:
800 grams of tomatoes
100 grams of hard cheese
200 grams of cream cheese
100 grams of sour cream
4 eggs
200 grams of mayonnaise
4 cloves of garlic
Scallion leaves
Way of preparation

Step 1
Boil the eggs until they are hard and peel them.
Step 2
Wash the tomatoes, dry them and, starting from the top, cut them into a cross but not completely.
Step 3
Carefully, taking care not to damage the base, scoop out the inner flesh with a spoon.
Step 4
Finely chop the garlic in a deep dish, grate the cheese and boiled eggs on a coarse grater.
Step 5
Add cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise to it and mix to get a uniform mass.
Step 6
Fill each tomato carefully with the filling.
Step 7
Place the spring onion leaves in a serving plate and arrange the stuffed tomatoes on one side in the form of a bouquet.
